Vintage 1950's rhinestone necklace signed "Jay Flex Sterling".

Jay Flex Jewelry was a notable Canadian company. Founded in Montreal in the early 1930s. The company specialized in producing both sterling and costume jewelry until the mid-1960s.

Originally it was a choker necklace. It has been lengthened by someone with silver aurora borealis tricone crystal beads and clear glass seed beads with a lobster claw clasp. They did an excellent job too!

It measures 20" long and weighs 17.8 grams. I weighed it with the extension off the scale. There are some very minor age appropriate scratches on the BACK of the center piece. View 3rd photo and you can see it's no big deal what so ever. Besides, who sees the back?
