Vintage sterling or 900 silver? orchid pin with genuine emerald chip center.

It measures 1 3/4" long and weighs only 1.7 grams. VERY light weight and delicate. I did not polish this piece, and you can see some oxidation around the emerald chip. It is very old. I do believe it is artisan made and either 900 silver or sterling, but it is unmarked.
