Vintage dated 1980 Doornhoff Farm brass prize medal made by Joan A Grant. This farm was in Vermont.
On the back of the medal is the maker's address label and her name is embossed at the bottom of the paperweight. It is VERY heavy and measures a little over 3 1/2" across. It weighs 271.3 Grams.
I was told this was given as a first prize medal at a dressage show.
Can be used as a paperweight. Nice patina.
