NINE vintage 1948 "Nova Laugh" brand unusual Christmas cards. The front has a cocktail with a peek-a-boo window and the inside is supposed to be filled out with a name and then the following text reads "requested that I call to wish you a Merry Christmas".
The "pinup gal is open for your interpretation. Her hands are large and sort of gnarled looking. Her feet are quite large and her face is not someone that looks like a pinup. gal Now I do not want anyone to be insulted, but it appears they tried to make her look on the ugly side as the joke or perhaps more mannish? Don't forget these cards were made by a novelty card company and they were known for its' off color and non politically correct cards. And take in account the year.
The cards measure approximately 5"x 6". The back of the card is dated 1948. There are more envelopes than there are cards and the envelopes are dark from age. The cards are in wonderful shape!
