1940's Rayon Nightgown and Robe Peignoir Set As Is

Vintage 1940's rayon nightgown and robe or peignoir. Please excuse the wrinkles. Twenty five photos to look through. The nightgown was too small to fit my mannequin so the nightgown is in the 2nd photo.

It is a cream rayon with ecru color lace trim. It has covered buttons on the robe and on the robe cuffs. Appears to be hand stitched. It is a very small size. Probably worn by a young bride. Please pay attention to the exact measurements below. It also has several small stains here and there that I tired to show and also two small holes. Which one can be repaired. Nothing feels like the old rayon!

The approx. measurements are as follows measured flat:

The night gown:

Across the chest: 15" (30 chest)

The waist: 12" (24" waist)

Length from the top of the shoulder: 50" long

Across the hips: 20"

Arm holes: 10" long

Across the bottom: 36" long (total 72" around.

The robe:

Across the gusseted chest: 17"

The waist: 12" long

Sleeve length: 22"

Length from shoulder: 50" long
