Lone Ranger Premium Whistling Jim Kix Cereal Collectible Pin Vintage 1940's Glow Plastic Gardenia Brooch Cruver Chicago

This vintage early plastic gardenia flower pin glows in the dark after being exposed to light was the only "girls" item ever offered by General Mills in the Lone Ranger's Defenders Secret Portfolio from Kix cereals as "Something For Mother".

This pin originally came with matching earrings. I only have the pin.

This gardenia premium was also offered on soap operas sponsored by General Mills in the southeastern states as a "Whistling Jim" premium.

It measures 3 1/2" wide at the widest part including the leaves.

The back reads CRUVER- CHICAGO. Wonderful Lone Ranger collectible! I checked to see if it still glows and boy does it ever! But only after being held up to a light bulb or sunlight for a minute. Excellent shape with the exception of a little white reside on the back. I did not try to clean this.
