Vintage Li'l Abner Yokum and Daisy Mae Scragg pin set.
The infamous comic strip couple was the brain storm of Al Capp. Abner is quite large and measures 2 1/2" long.
In the comic strip, Abner's primary goal in life was evading the marital designs of Daisy Mae Scragg. Which is why she is always chasing him.
Daisy Mae has dark and greenish patina on the back of the pin. Please be sure to view all photos. Abner has a little dark patina on his left arm and Daisy has dark patina on her hair also. There is also some patina on the pin shafts. Not sure if they are able to be cleaned.
Li'l Abner's pin is a little tough to open and close, but does work and lock. This set is strictly sold "as is" and all sales are final.
These pins are most likely for collectibility and will probably not be worn.
But if you plan on wearing this set, be aware that the patina or greening may get transferred to whatever you are wearing.
