Antique Bone ? Mammoth Tusk Ivory Beads Necklace 1920's Jewelry Needs A Restring Or Take Apart Destash

Antique long bone ? or mammoth tusk ivory beads. They are hand knotted in between and have yellowed, almost a tea stained patina from their age which adds to their charm. The beads are 1920's or earlier? That is a guess.

It measures approx. 54" long. Some of the knots are darker and inconsistent in their shape. The beads themselves measures approx. between 7mm and 8mm. The weight is approx. 61.3 grams.

Some of the beads have a tendency to slip over the smaller knots. This was definitely made by an amature "knotter".

One bead does have a crack. This all sounds terrible, but is a lovely old piece that can be restrung or taken apart to make other creations. Sold strictly as is and all sales are final.
