Outrageous and unusual vintage heavily carved bakelite necklace.
What a beauty! It has the original string. The largest beads are the long tube shaped beads which measure 1" long. The large carved beads measure about the same length and are 1/2" wide.
There is also smaller barrel shaped multi faceted beads. Not sure of the material of the smaller turquoise colored beads, but they may be glass. It measures 25" in total length and weighs 71.80 grams.
It has a screw clasp. There is a small space in the string, but this is on purpose due to the shape of the beads. They would not fall right if there wasn't a space to accommodate their shapes. The screw clasp has a tiny space and does not screw all the way shut. I didn't want to force it and take the chance of cracking either side of the clasp.It weighs It is quite the find!
